Cost Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Cost Estimator for major construction and renovation projects including major rail/transit improvement projects. Position is located in our Queens, NY Office. Responsibilities Project level Cost Estimates Prepare and maintain Project Level Estimates through various stages of a project, representing the total project scope Utilize Hard Dollar Software Develop estimates for the comparison to bids received Perform site investigations Attend required project and staff meetings Develop estimates for Value Engineering change proposal reviews Qualifications 5-10 years' experience in Cost Estimating Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology related field, or equivalent Thorough knowledge of Railroad Construction practices is preferable Experience with review of Drawings and Contract Specifications Must be able to effectively communicate, possess good interpersonal skills and meet deadlines Thorough knowledge of computer applications as it relates to Estimation-Hard Dollar or equivalent and MS Office
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
