o Administer nursing and direct care, including completion of nursing assessments; o Complete patient admissions; o Transcribe and execute prescriber/medical orders; o Administer medications and treatments o Monitor the environment for patient health, safety and security; take action to maintain a positive and healthy milieu o Involvement in facility performance assessment and improvement activities o Function as backup shift charge in the absence of the shift charge; o Proficient use of a computer is required for record keeping and documentation; o Collect specimens o Perform venipunctures o Maintain nursing/facility supplies and equipment o Provide supportive counseling and crisis intervention as needed; o Transport patients as assigned using NYS vehicle; o May direct other staff, trainees, volunteers in Nursing assignments; o Attend and participate in treatment plan review meetings; o Communicate effectively to promote cohesive relationships between shifts and disciplines; o Support management decisions and policies and procedures for staff and patients; o Incumbent will be required to work overtime shifts periodically as needed o Perform other nursing duties as assigned; completion of other tasks to meet ATC needs

Salary Range:
From $31364 to $40915 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Nurse 2 Psychiatric - A registered nurse in NYS with current registration to practice. One year of post-licensure registered clinical experience including six months post-licensure specialized nursing experience with individuals, at least 50% of whom have been diagnosed with mental illness, alcoholism, or chemical dependency OR eighteen months of post-licensure registered nurse general clinical experience. Nurse 1 - A registered nurse in NYS with current registration to practice. Candidate must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare program. Failure to maintain licensure, certification and Medicaid/Medicare eligibility will result in the termination of employment.
